Sowing Somankidi Coura is a long-term research endeavor around the permacultures and archives of Somankidi Coura, a self organized cooperative along the Senegal river fouded by a group of former African migrant workers and activists in France 1977 after the Sahel drought of 1973.
The idea of the design is hypertextual. It links the archival material to the spoken (interviews) and written (academic writing) words. To distinguish between the content there are two different fonts in use. The book will be published in English and French.
I was mostly engaged in the Typesetting, Image Correction and the Cover Design.
